Red and Wolf

This idea has been playing in my head for quite sometime now and I am so thrilled with how it all fell into place. I have always loved folklore and fairytales, and what better story to start with Little Red Riding Hood. It can be traced back to the 10th century, told by French peasants, and most remembered from the 19th century Brothers Grimm adaptation.
There are many interpretations of the meaning behind the tale but the one I remembered most is that is symbolizes the venture into womanhood. I wanted to show Red embracing that, so instead of a big scary wolf, they are actually friends, venturing into the woods together. I hope you enjoy my take on Little Red Riding Hood!

A wonderful fellow photographer and videographer joined me on the shoot and made this amazing and awesome video, thank you Hannah from Minkmade!!

I need to give a special shout out to some people who helped me put this together, first is to Urban Nature Taxidermy who made the incredible "wolf" (technically it is a coyote but had the look I wanted for this piece lol), to Tiffany Brown, my amazing model, who when asked "Do you want to go do a shoot in the woods with a taxidermy animal?" did not look at me like I was a crazy woman, to Hannah Minker at Minkmade for the amazing behind the scenes video, and to Olivia Barrett for hiking around and assisting me for this shoot. You are all amazing and I am so grateful to have you in my life!!!
