Drove up to Sedona for a quick photo session with some beautiful dancers. Played around with a  couple yards of fabric and you get some magic! Enjoy!!

Little Red in the Woods

While in Pennsylvania to photograph a wedding, I did a couple of sessions. I am so in love with the woods and how green everything is there. Thrilled does not even begin to describe what I was when this little girl wanted a Little Red shoot. She was a bit sad that my "wolf" was not able to join us on our trip, but I love the end results just the same.

Pyfer Wedding

I was so honored this July to be hired to photograph the Pyfer wedding in beautiful Pennsylvania. It was the perfect day at the Pinecrest Country Club, and the humidity broke just in time. It was a wonderful celebration followed by an awesome reception. These two are so very in love and you couldn't help but smile every time you looked at them.

Gillian at Valley Forge

So while visiting in PA I met up with some local photographers as well as a beautiful girl, Gillian, who modeled for us. I had so much fun with all that green and even though a storm rolled in fast, we all ran with our gear to the nearest coverage, it was great fun and I think I got some pretty good photos. I can't wait to head back and shoot there again.

Tiffany on the Lake

Before I left town I got together with Tiffany, and we drive up north to Flagstaff for little lake shoot. Little did we know the lake had dried up pretty substantially, but she rocked it anyways.  Between mud and bugs she was a real trooper and I think these photos will show that.  Stay on the look out for part 2, when we finish up this session at a full lake :-)

Night Goddess

This is a piece I have been working on for sometime. It started out as an idea and slowly evolved into this shoot. My Photoshop skills may leave something to be desired but I really want to start pushing myself creatively and stretching to those things that I may not be capable of or may conquer. Making my art turn out the way I see it in my head, or at least closely to that.
My model, Aleah, and I headed out to the desert one afternoon, after the amazing Kiana Eddings (you can visit her facebook page here) did her hair and makeup. We made a last minute stop to pick up some fabric (which I think turned out nicely for the finished piece). Then with a broken wireless remote, made the most out of the beautiful sunset. The finished piece is a 20 photo composite, then we did some creative shots to go along with my Night Goddess story.

Red and Wolf

This idea has been playing in my head for quite sometime now and I am so thrilled with how it all fell into place. I have always loved folklore and fairytales, and what better story to start with Little Red Riding Hood. It can be traced back to the 10th century, told by French peasants, and most remembered from the 19th century Brothers Grimm adaptation.
There are many interpretations of the meaning behind the tale but the one I remembered most is that is symbolizes the venture into womanhood. I wanted to show Red embracing that, so instead of a big scary wolf, they are actually friends, venturing into the woods together. I hope you enjoy my take on Little Red Riding Hood!

A wonderful fellow photographer and videographer joined me on the shoot and made this amazing and awesome video, thank you Hannah from Minkmade!!

I need to give a special shout out to some people who helped me put this together, first is to Urban Nature Taxidermy who made the incredible "wolf" (technically it is a coyote but had the look I wanted for this piece lol), to Tiffany Brown, my amazing model, who when asked "Do you want to go do a shoot in the woods with a taxidermy animal?" did not look at me like I was a crazy woman, to Hannah Minker at Minkmade for the amazing behind the scenes video, and to Olivia Barrett for hiking around and assisting me for this shoot. You are all amazing and I am so grateful to have you in my life!!!
